eSense

From Research to Real-World Care

For more than two decades, Dr. Lori Brotto has helped change the way women's sexual wellbeing is understood. Her research has shown that lasting improvements in desire, arousal, and sexual pain require more than a biological approach alone. Psychological treatments—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT)—are now recognized as evidence-based treatments that can significantly improve women's sexual wellbeing.

Yet despite this evidence, most women have little or no access to these therapies.

That gap inspired the creation of eSense.

Co-created by Dr. Lori Brotto and Dr. Kyle Stephenson, eSense is a digital program built directly from decades of peer-reviewed clinical research and real-world therapeutic practice with insights from women themselves. It translates proven therapeutic approaches into a private, self-guided program that women can access wherever they live.

Rather than simply providing information, eSense teaches practical skills that help women understand the many factors influencing sexual wellbeing—including thoughts, emotions, stress, relationships, attention, and mindfulness—and how these can work together with medical care to create lasting change.
